Framework Comparisons

Sean Corfield recommended that I post my frameworks comparison article somewhere online to encourage more people to read it (since it wouldn't require downloading a 12mb distribution). So I've gone ahead and put it up here.

This is a first draft and it's still pretty rough, let me know if you have any corrections! :)

Charlie Arehart's Gravatar Hey Ike, thanks for doing on all this. I'm really encouraged to see it. Heard about it on the cfconversations interview. If you'd like to do some sort of talk on the CFMeetup, offering an overview of the project and your high level observations/findings, I'd welcome that.

I do want to point out that there are some broken links on the main article, at http://on.tapogee.com/galleonproject/, where it links to the readme and license pages you had created. FWIW, this blog entry here also points to the article as http://www.woohooligan.com/frameworks/, which gets redirected to the tapongee page.

ike's Gravatar Thanks Charlie! :) I pushed up the license docs for the respective projects and updated the link. I'd love to give a cfmeetup presentation on it... I'd been planning to email you after the new year about a presentation on the onTap framework as well... Tiff and I are going to be moving back to Dallas in January though, so I'm not expecting to be giving any presentations until at least February, just FYI.

Charlie Arehart's Gravatar Ok, thanks for the heads up. And as for a talk, sure, we can have one on ontap too. (For those counting, we've had 2 on DataFaucet.) I would think the overview on frameworks would be better, to draw people in and then hope to get them to come to the later ontop talk. I'll mark you as a prospective speaker for Feb. Good luck with the move.
