If equality is near and dear to your heart, like it is for me, you can also help by putting this video on your FaceBook or MySpace profile.

God bless.

John Farrar's Gravatar I am curious if you are saying an employer when he interviews someone can tell someone is autistic with the same ease he can tell someone is a woman? I am without a doubt in favor of hiring anyone who can do a job for a job. Finding meaningful jobs is a great thing... but comparing unemployment with women is not a good point to start the debate. Being a woman is not IMO like being autistic. You might want to process some of the concepts through friend familiar with marketing and public relations before some of that kind of thing comes back at you. Perhaps working on a different video would be something we might be able to help with then more people outside the community might respond to the community needs.

Dane Schneider's Gravatar Great video Isaac, and I don't think there's anything wrong with your gender-equality comparison. It may not be a perfect analogy in that autism isn't immediately apparent like gender (as John points out), but it's still wrong to discriminate against an otherwise capable person because of perceived social awkwardness or shyness even if the potential employer doesn't realize that these traits are symptoms of autism or aspergers.
